St. Angelina was known for her pious and righteous life. She came from a Roman family and was one of the witnesses of the first persecution of Christians under the Emperor Diocletian. Because of her devotion to Christ, she was tortured and martyred. There are different versions of her life story, but they all describe her as a woman who was martyred for renouncing pagan beliefs and devoting herself to the Christian faith.
