Bead embroidery pattern of icon "Saint Constantine the Great"

St. Constantine is considered the patron saint of emperors, statesmen, and those who have a great influence on the history and development of the faith. St. Constantine is a great saint and emperor who not only changed the course of the Roman Empire's history, but also helped Christianity become the dominant religion in Europe. His support of the church, legalization of Christianity, and his role in convening the First Council of Nicaea in 325, which defined the basic tenets of the Christian faith, made him a key figure in the development of the Christian church. One of the key events in the life of St. Constantine was his victory in the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312. Before the battle, he saw a sign in the sky - a cross and the inscription “This is how you win.” After this vision, Constantine adopted Christianity as his faith and ordered his soldiers to paint the Christian symbol on their shields. After the victory, Constantine stopped the persecution of Christians and issued the Edict of Milan in 313, which legalized Christianity in the Roman Empire. St. Constantine was born around 272 in the city of Nicomedia (modern Turkey). He was the son of Emperor Constantius Chlorus and St. Helen, who was a Christian and played an important role in her son's religious activities. After his father's death in 306, Constantine became emperor of the Western Roman Empire, and later, after a series of victories and political maneuvers, he became the sole ruler of the entire Roman Empire.
