He became known for his deep prayer, ascetic lifestyle, and pastoral ministry. In 1911, St. Seraphim was elected Bishop of Dmitrov, and this was an important milestone in his life. As a bishop, he showed great concern for the spiritual condition of his flock. He was known for his kindness, modesty, and attention to the needs of his parishioners, especially in difficult times when Russia was experiencing political and social upheaval. St. Seraphim actively preached and worked for spiritual enlightenment. His sermons and addresses to people were always filled with love, wisdom, and depth of faith. He called on Christians to live according to the teachings of Christ, to be merciful to one another, to help the poor, and not to forget about the salvation of the soul. Canonization and commemoration: After his death, St. Seraphim was canonized as a saint for his holiness, kindness, and pastoral devotion. His life has become an example of how to serve God and people in difficult historical moments. St. Seraphim of Dmitrov is commemorated on November 25 (December 8, New Style). He is an example of a priest who not only preached the Word of God, but also lived according to it, showing his love for God and for people.
